Muse

A muse is someone special who inspires and fully collaborates with the photographer. Concepts, themes and ideas are discussed and turned to reality together, anything goes. You only need to be willing to jump into the deep end and experiment fearlessly to be my muse. If you want to fully embrace the creative experience, this is for you.

Practical.

The creative process starts way before the actual shoot. I’ll send you a questionnaire that will form the starting point of a brainstorm session by video call. We can’t cut corners on this signature session so if a second call or even an in-person meeting is necessary, no problem. The goal is to have a reasonable idea of where we want to take your session so we can both prepare whatever needs to be prepared. Of course, that doesn’t mean there is no room for the inspiration of the moment on the actual shoot.

For a Muse session it’s important not to have any time pressure, so I’ll reserve a full day of shooting just for you. We’ll have time for different locations, wardrobe changes and a relaxing break whenever needed. I generally prefer to work with limited gear and natural light in order to easily flow from one idea to the next while being fully present to you. But in a Muse Session there’s also time and space to set up lighting equipment or hook up a smoke machine should our ideas benefit from a more elaborate setup.
I strongly believe that each person is made up of different layers and in the Muse Sessions I want to explore what lies behind that first “public” layer. It’s a journey within yourself and a unique opportunity to see and show yourself from different angles. If you don’t like being labeled, this is for you.

The creative process doesn’t end with the shooting day. After the images are processed we’ll meet again to reveal the results and work together on your personal, intimate album. We’ll choose what images we’ll use and maybe you’d like to add your own words, quotes, drawings, …

Investment.

I can only scheduled a very limited amount of Muse Sessions because they require a big time and energy investment on my end as well. So if you really want to explore your inner artist, book your session right away.
